Installing Our Software

Installing on Windows & Macs

To install our desktop software on Windows and Mac computers, just unzip the files you downloaded upon purchase (your computer should do this automatically when you double-click on a .zip file, or Windows users can right-click on the zip file and select 'Extract All...'). You'll need to enter your registration password to unzip the file (we recommend that you copy and paste the registration code from your receipt). After you have saved the unzipped files, you can double-click a file to use it (don't try to run the files directly from the zip archive).

Note to Mac OS X Users:

Mac OS X's built-in Archive Utility cannot open password-protected zip files. Therefore, to unzip the files you purchased we recommend using the free StuffIt Expander program. StuffIt Expander will prompt you for the unzip password.

Installing on Palm-Powered Devices

Installing our handheld software on Palm-Powered devices is an easy three step process. We'll walk you through the process step by step.

Step 1. Downloading Software

On each product page, you will see a Download button example button that will allow you to download software. Once you click this button, a pop-up window will appear notifying you that you have initiated a file download. This pop-up window will either be titled 'Save As...', within which you can select where you would like the file to be saved, or 'Unknown File Type', in which case you can select the 'Save File...' button which will take you to the 'Save As...' screen. Click the 'Save' button to complete the download process.

Step 2. Unpacking Software

The file you just saved will be in a compressed format (this makes the file smaller and easier to download). Before you can install it on your Palm it will need to be decompressed.

To decompress the file, Windows users can double-click the file (if you are using an older version of Windows, you can use WinZip). For Macintosh users, you can use ZipIt.

You will see a list of files ending with .prc and/or .pdb. Simply double-click each of these files to add them to the Palm Install Tool.

Step 3. HotSync

Press your HotSync button on your cradle or cable and installation is complete!

Removing Software

If you find that you no longer need a particular program (or are trying to conserve memory), removing it from your Palm is simple.

From the Applications launcher (main screen):
